Amslee Institute was founded in 2017 to provide affordable college-level training for nannies and sitters. With over 30 adjunct faculty who are experts in their field and passionate about elevating childcare, Amslee Institute developed a new, nanny-centric curriculum with over 45 hours of online training. Child development is core to the curriculum with classes on Music, Helping with Homework, Literacy, and STEM. Faculty members include child psychologists, physician assistants, nutritionists, teachers, lawyers, and professional nannies so the resulting curriculum is both comprehensive and practical.
The Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education approved Amslee Institute’s license application and authorized Amslee Institute to issue Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Specialist, and Professional Childcare Diplomas and Certifications. Amslee Institute has also partnered over a dozen top Nanny and Domestic Placement Agencies across the United States. Amslee Institute invests in the Nanny community by teaching workshops and classes at Nannypalooza and the International Nanny Association (INA) annual conferences.
I’ve been a nanny for over five years and I learned so much more than I expected. In each program, I gained new skills and used them right away with the children in my care. The faculty are college professors who really understand childcare. I am now earning more to help pay for graduate school.
I talk about the importance of education to the children in my care so it’s important that I invest in nanny and childcare training. I learned about nutrition, fitness, special education, child development, and so much more. The Professional Childcare program has made me a better nanny.
I worked as a live in nanny while in college and want to earn more with another long term position. An Amslee diploma makes my application stand out from the others.
As a mom who’s employed 2 nannies over 6 years, it was hard to find good candidates. I look for the Amslee diploma because it gives me confidence that the nannies have the right training to care for my kids.
I love teaching children about music and jumped at the chance to share my best tips and songs in a music course. Music is fun and nannies have an opportunity to delight and educate the children in their care.
What does Amslee Institute Offer the World?
We elevate childcare. Amslee Institute improves care for children through expert and affordable training for Sitters and Nannies. The specialized curriculum is available nationwide and 24/7 providing students with flexibility and career mobility. The programs also include job placement training on resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, and how to negotiate compensation.
We create value for Nannies. Amslee Institute programs provide clarity and industry-standard qualifications with 5 levels of in-home childcare corresponding to advancing Babysitter through Professional Nanny job responsibilities. The 5 levels include Sitters (Basic), Part-Time Nannies (Intermediate), Full-Time Nannies (Advanced), Family Assistants (Specialist), and Professional Nannies (Professional).
We create value for Families. Diplomas and certifications issued by Amslee Institute ease the hiring process for families and agencies. A Childcare Diploma makes the interview process simpler since the potential employer knows the graduate has specific training, references, and documented experience. Amslee Institute also helps families understand salary expectations for the different levels of childcare by defining the career path and levels of qualifications in the Ultimate Guide on How to Hire a Nanny.
We support our community. In addition, to fundraising for Toys for Tots and seeking contributors to scholarship programs, Amslee Institute also engages directly with the community on social media. Publishing childcare articles every Tuesday authored by faculty or professional level students, Amslee Institute also hosts Facebook live chats with faculty and industry partners.
Provide affordable online training to Nannies and Sitters who earn diplomas and certifications from a specialized curriculum taught by college faculty to elevate the in-home childcare profession.
